BUILDING ELITE ATHLETES WITH EXCEPTIONAL FAITH.

Elite Sports Ministry

Elite Sports Ministry

ELITE SPORTS MINISTRY SEEKS TO COMBINE EXCEPTIONAL SPORTS TRAINING WITH FAITH-BUILDING. WE DO THIS THROUGH WEEKLY SKILL DEVELOPMENT CLASSES AND SUMMER CAMPS.

Summer Basketball Camps

Elite Sports Ministry partners with churches in Alabama to bring sports camps to Alaska & Montana. We bring qualified volunteers to towns in Alaska or Montana to partner with area churches. We advertise, plan, and facilitate camps to help the local church meet local families to build lasting relationships.

Camps are usually four days long consisting of two groups split up by age. The camp is led by Jeremy Roden with the assistance of other basketball coaches from the send church. The camp develops basketball skills along with positive character traits.

Sitka, AK

The volunteers for the camp have been vetted and provide positive roll models for the kids. Elite supplies all the needed volunteers and supplies for the camp.

Jeremy has loved basketball since he was three years old when he received his first basketball goal—The MJ Lil Sports Goal! The obsession started early and keeps on going today!

Jeremy played high school basketball at Victory Christian School, and averaged over 25 points a game his senior year, ending his high school career with over 1500 points. Jeremy then went to Huntingdon College where he was a three-year letterman, won the 2006 GSAG Conference Title, and was on the academic all-conference team. Following college Jeremy coached high school basketball for a year before he headed to get his Master’s of Divinity at Liberty University. When he finished at Liberty he helped coach at Snead State Community College from 2015-2018. In 2018 Snead State won the state championship and sent 4 players to Division 1 universities.

Jeremy then stepped back from coaching and started serving as Family and Youth Pastor at Grant FBC. Jeremy is back into coaching again….this time coaching his daughter! Jeremy has been married to Cydney since 2012 and they have two daughters—Cali and Carolina.
