Basketball camps in Alaska and Montana are the heart of our ministry!

Partner Churches in Alabama

We connect churches and volunteers in Alabama to sports camps in Alaska and Montana. Typically our mission teams are groups of 8-12 and have at least 1 basketball coach and others who can help with camp. Elite Sports Ministries:

  • Plans, advertises, and facilitates the camps.

  • Books the flights and secures the sleeping arrangements.

  • Advises on fundraising.

What’s the cost to go?

The cost of a trip is tied directly to the cost of airline tickets. We try to provide free lodging and transportation while on the mission. That leaves you paying for airfare, food, and a small camp administration fee to cover the costs of the camp.

However, we will help you with ideas and plans to raise funds for the trip to help offset the cost to your volunteers. Our favorite idea is holding a basketball camp in YOUR Alabama town!

Here is a very simplified breakdown of what a trip to Alaska and/or Montana would cost per person:

Montana

  • Plane Tickets: $800

  • Meals: $200

  • Camp Fee: $150

  • Total: $1150

Alaska

  • Plane Tickets: $1050

  • Meals: $200

  • Camp Fee: $150

  • Total: $1400

*These costs are samples and not to be used for exact planning purposes. Plane ticket prices vary dramatically depending on how far out you book, how many tickets are bought, what city you are leaving from, etc. This is for a general idea only.

Helping churches in Alaska and Montana

We want to bring basketball camps to towns in Alaska and Montana! Everything we do is centered on getting people on a mission trip.

Elite Sports Ministry will find and connect the Alabama churches/volunteers to those in the towns of Alaska and Montana.

What’s the cost to host a camp?

Money wise? Nothing! The volunteers pay their way, either directly or through fundraising, to get to your location. Elite Sports Ministry takes the funds we’ve raised through the year, along with the camp fee each volunteer pays, to bring the camp to your town!

What do we need? A place to stay and transportation. We need a place to sleep when we are in your town. Your church would be perfect—if you have showers and bathrooms. If not? Maybe you know of a church that does! We are fine with sleeping on air mattresses if need be, we just need a safe place to sleep with showers and restrooms.

What about the gym? We will work with your church to either rent a local gym or find a church nearby that has one we can use.
